ISLAMABAD: The teachers fraternity has staged protest outside National Press Club (NPC) and D-Chowk against bringing the educational institutions of Islamabad under the control of Municipal Corporation (MC) through an ordinance.
The teachers said that the classes would be conducted in front of Prime Minister (PM) House.
The employees of all FG institutions participated in the protest.
Chairman Joint Action Committee Fazal Maula said that 20000 teaching and non teaching staff will hold the classes outside PM House till the revocation of decision. If educational institutions are not excluded from the ordinance then the employees will perform the duty of chowkidar and sweeper of PM house under protest.
They held that the teachers all over the world are provided facilities but in Islamabad they are being victimized.
