LAHORE: NAB Amendment Ordinance-2021 has been challenged in Lahore High Court (LHC).
The petitioner took the plea NAB amendment ordinance 2021 runs contrary to the decisions of supreme judiciary. Ordinance cannot be promulgated when parliament is in session.
The petitioner pleaded that chairman NAB term cannot be extended. NAB amendment ordinance 2021 is illegal and unconstitutional.
The petitioner said that the powers to legislate rest with parliament only. Ordinance cannot be promulgated for sake of one man.
He prayed the court implementation of NAB Amendment ordinance 2021 be stayed till the final decision of the petition. NAB amendment Ordinance 2021 be declared null and void.
