Quetta,   (Parliament Times)  : Governor Balochistan Syed Zahoor Ahmad Agha has said that the only solution to the problems of mineral development and mine owners in the province is to make the mining sector an industry at the federal level first. He said that the establishment of lasting law and order and protection of mine owners would not only raise the overall standard of living in the province but also provide new employment opportunities to the people.

He expressed these views while talking to a 22-member delegation of mine owners led by Behrooz Hussain Reiki at Governor House Quetta on Wednesday. During the meeting, it was discussed to give industry status to the mining sector at the federal level, to ensure protection of life and property of mine owners, to provide bank loans to mine owners and to create new employment opportunities for the people.

On this occasion, the Governor of Balochistan said that we are very fortunate that our province is rich in natural resources and minerals, so it is important to modernize the mineral sector so that the available minerals can be fully utilized.

In addition, there are lucrative investment opportunities available and the current government is committed to providing all kinds of protection to international and domestic investors, so it is important that they take advantage of the opportunities available.
