On 14th August 1947, pakistan became independent. We got freedom from 200 years of slavery of British rule. It was hard and a long non-violent struggle inwhich many freedom fighters and great men sacrificed their lives for our beloved mother land . This hurdle was overcomed by Quaid -e-Azam with help of several visionary colleagues like Allama Iqbal, Muhammad Ali Johar and sir syed Ahmed khan. The partition was caused in part by two nation theory presented by syed Ahmed khan due to presented religious issues. Pakistan became a Muslim country and india became a majority hindu. Muhammad Ali Jinnah was indian politician and also spoke person for partition. After partition Jinnah became first governor general of pakistan but he died of tuberculosis on 11 September 1948 at Karachi. Independence Day is like birthday of our country. It is observed with great honour at schools, colleges and other institutions. The main ceremony takes place in the capital Islamabad where our president and prime minister come where national anthem is sung before hoisting national flag at parliament buildings. There is also a trend in every country to decorate homes and buildings with flags. Children wear white and green dresses to show love for country. People goto mausoleum of quaid-e-Azam. Patriotic songs canbe heared at every street corner. Before independence British were master of this land but now we are having today as our own is the result of decades of struggles carried out by our forefathers. Now our country is free from unnecessary restrictions in way of spending life, religious beliefs, cultural values and other ways of life. Pakistan is the name of struggles and hard work done by our leaders. Today their names are written in golden words in the history of pakistan. It gives me great pride to write about sacrifices made by our leaders in order to protect land. Conclusion is this we should celebrate this day with complete enthusiasm to let the world know that we are still a one strong nation and always willing to protect our land…..
