MUZAFFARABAD / MIRPUR [AJK], (Parliament Times) :  The Azad Kashmir government has launched a kafalat programme for the families of martyrs of Indian forces firing from the line of control. The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan while unveiling the progrmme distributed cheques among the families of martyrs of Indian forces firing at special ceremony held at the Prime Minister House here on Thursday.

Elaborating the Kafalat programme the Prime Minister said that under this programme three thousand rupees monthly stipend will be given to every person of the martyr while the widow of the martyr will get financial assistance of three thousand rupees per month till her second marriage. He said underage children will also get financial assistance of three thousand rupees per month till they reach the age of 21.

Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister directed the concerned officials to accelerate the process of the setting up of fund announced by the government for orphans during the Ramzan-ul-Mubrak and the data of orphans in this regard should also be collected from NADRA. The Prime Minister said the government is determined to facilitate the masses and the launching of the Kafalat programme is a clear vindication of government commitment to mitigate the suffering of the families of martyrs. He said Indian has intensified the reign of terror in occupied Kashmir and is engaged in the systematic killings of Kashmiri people to crush the indigenous freedom struggle launched by the Kashmiri people for attaining their fundamental right to self determination. He said the government of Azad Kashmir will extend every financial assistance to those affected by the Indian forces firing.
