I told you a dozen times, we are not a sovereign nation. It is because those that make decisions for us are enslaved in their thought and action. I also told you that no major power is interested in Pakistan, that is why none of the heads of states or government have visited us in the lasts two decades. Germany, UK, France, Italy, Brazil, South America, South Korea, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Thailand, and many others have given up, on us. Heads of none of them have visited Pakistan. I have also told you that our foreign policy planners are misreading the situation. I have reiterated dozen times that generals do not know how to govern. But they refuse to accept that reality time and again. It seems there is some fatal flaw in our training and development program for officers corps. Our whole foreign policy revolves around Saudi Arabia, UAE, China, and the USA. These are just five out of 190 countries in the world. Even with these countries, our attitude is subservience rather than parity. From the USA, we seek financial aid and IMF packages. They gave us $15 billion in 10 years to participate in the Afghan war, but it cost us over $100 billion in damaged roads, economy, and infrastructure. That decision, to become a front-line state in a foreign war, has only served the interest of few individuals. Chinese provided us diplomatic support, weapons technology, and made CPEC the cornerstone of the BRI vision. But the Chinese are now realizing they are wasting their time on us. Chinese FM statement in Iran that some nations change their direction over a phone call should be an eye-opener. This statement is akin to the private comment made by Americans that we are ready to sell ourselves. We have become immune to embarrassments.If you recall, we opposed the creation of CPEC authority through a rushed presidential ordinance we opposed it. We suggested that the planning ministry should continue monitoring CPEC progress. Despite our opposition, this authority was created to provide a lucrative job to an influential individual who has done nothing but tweet now and then that great progress is happening on CPEC. In reality, CPEC is experiencing go slow, and there has been no joint coordination committee meeting for a long time.For many years I advised that Regional cooperation for Development (RCD) with Iran and Turkey should be revived and linked with CPEC. No progress was made, except that a freight train service was announced to start on March 14th. Even that was delayed because Pakistan Railways could not finalize the freight tariff in time. Imagine that. We are talking about geo-economics while, on the other hand, most of the departments of the rejected republic are dysfunctional. We live in a fool’s paradise. This rejected republic cannot continue. It is not respected by anyone in the world and it is hurting the interests of the people of Pakistan. It has to be replaced by a people’s republic. There is no other option. PTI, PDM, and Establishment are hesitant and unwilling to replace rejected republic with a people’s republic. They all have become the source of the problem rather than become problem solvers. We ask NA-249 voters to boycott the by-election and send a message that rejected republic is unacceptable:
