ZHOB,(Parliament Times): In the horrific incident of murder, a teenager who went missing four days ago, found murdered on the outskirts of the city here on Sunday. The killers set the dead body on fire after brutally killing him. Some passersby spotted the charred body and informed the police. The body was beyond recognition.

According to SHO Sher Ali Mandokhail, the twelve-year-old  Asmatullah Safi, a resident of Sohrab Goth area, had been missing for the last four days. According to him, the beacon of hope for the ill-fated family, the innocent boy used to work as a labourer. He added that the police were making all-out efforts to arrest the killers. The cause of the death could not be ascertained so far, the SHO said.

Soon after the incident, close relatives of the deceased and political and social activists in a large number, placed the dead body at Kaliwal Shaheed chowk and held a sit-in. The charged protesters also blocked Zhob-D.I Khan road by setting tyres on fire and erecting barricades. The angry mob strongly condemned the killing of teenager, held the administration responsible and termed the incident negligence of the police. They warned that until the killers were not arrested, neither the body will be buried nor the protest will not be ended. “It is an utter failure of the police and other law enforcement agencies, which are responsible for the maintenance of law and order,” they regretted. The protesters demanded of the police to lodge an FIR against the killers in view of the Zainab Act.

Addressing the sit-in Provincial Minister Mitha Khan Kakar, Khateeb Jama masjid Maulana Allah Dad Kakar, Sardar Janak Kibzai, Amanullah Hariphal, Molvi Sarwar Kakar, Qayum advocate, Qazi Ahmed Khosti, Molvi Manan Nasar, Jamal Mandokhail, Raz Muhammad Sherani, Sheikh Ashraf Mandokhail, Sajjad Imran Bangash, Shah Muhammad Mandokhail, Syed Afzal Shah, Bismullah Appozai, Faiz Muhammad Sherani, Abdul Wiyalawal, Abdul Khaliq Nasar, Haroon Mandokhail, Ajmal Awan and Maula Dad Qureshi vehemently condemned the incident and called it cruel and an inhumane act.

Meanwhile, SP Fahad Khosa, AC Haroon Khattak and SHO assured the protesters and directed the police officials to register a case against those involved in the incident.
