ISLAMABAD, (Parliament Times) : Anti Narcotics Force Pakistan seized 2205.215 Kg narcotics valuing US $ 63.232 Million internationally, arrested 23 culprits including a Female and impounded 11 vehicles while conducting 24 counter-narcotics strikes throughout the country. The seized drugs comprised of 31.565 Kg Heroin, 658.25 Kg Hashish, 1511.56 Kg Opium, 3.84 Kg Amphetamine (Ice).
ANF Balochistan, the staff of Police Station Regional Directorate recovered 1451 Kg Opium from Killi Bagh Toba Achakzai at District Qilla Abdullah. As per initial information the recovered drugs were stored for handing over to some other narco gang.
ANF KP, on a tip-off, ANF Airport Team at Bacha Khan International Airport, Peshawar arrested an accused person namely Hidayat Ullah Khan resident of District Kurram in collaboration with ASF and recovered 2.718 Kg Amphetamine (including packing material). The accused was travelling to Doha through Flight No. PK-285. In another operation, Police station Regional Directorate ANF KP in collaboration with FC (North) seized 163.800 Kg Hashish, 35.360 Kg Opium & 10.440 Kg Heroin near FC Post (Border Fence). In third operation, Police Station DI Khan conducted a raid at Pezu Bypass, Indus Highway, Lakki Marwat and recovered 3.600 Kg Hashish from the personal possession of the arrested accused namely Wasi Ullah resident of Lakki Marwat. In fourth operation, Police Station ANF Peshawar in collaboration with Khyber Rifles, FC (North) intercepted a Suzuki Mehran near FC Check Post District Khyber and recovered 7.200 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the arrested accused namely Spin Gul resident of District Khyber. In fifth operation, Police Station Regional Directorate ANF KP in collaboration with FC (North) intercepted a unattended Toyota Hilux Pickup (Single Cabin) near Balish Khel Check Post (Parachinar) and seized 108 Kg of Hashish which were tactfully concealed in said vehicle. In sixth operation, the staff of Regional Directorate ANF KP arrested two accused namely Rafaqat & Abdul Raheem both residents of Peshawar at Bacha Khan International Airport, Peshawar and recovered 3.820 Kg Heroin (Including packing material) which was concealed in their Trolley Bags. In seventh operation, the staff of Police Station Regional Directorate ANF KP in collaboration with FC (North) near Mano Jaba Fort, Pak Afghan Border (Parachinar) seized 112.050 Kg Hashish. In eighth operation, the staff of Police Station Regional Directorate ANF KP in collaboration with Khyber Rifles, FC (North) seized 8 Packets of Hashish total weighing 10 Kg and 11 Kg Opium which was concealed in 2 x plastic sack on road side near FC Post Darband Sector, District Khyber. In ninth operation, on a tip-off, Police Station, Peshawar in collaboration with Bara Rifles, FC (North) seized 26 packets of Hashish total weighing 31.200 Kg which was concealed in 2 x plastic sack on road side near Bar Kallay Bin, District Khyber.
ANF Punjab, the staff of Police Station Multan intercepted a Motorcycle during a raid near Main Gate Red Rose Marriage Hall, Pull Wasil road, Multan and recovered 1.800 Kg Hashish from personal possession of arrested accused person namely Muhammad Jafar resident of Multan. In another operation, the staff of Police Station Sialkot intercepted a Rickshaw near Dry Port Chowk located on Sialkot Wazirabad road, District Sialkot and recovered 5.500 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the two arrested accused persons namely Muhammad Adnan & Komal Bibi both residents of Lahore. In third operation, the staff of Police Station Lahore intercepted a Kuwait bound suspected parcel from an international courier office located on Guru Mangat road, Gulberg-III, Lahore and recovered 1.005 Kg Heroin which was tactfully concealed in bottom of 1x packing box of washroom showers set. The said parcel was booked by Muhammad Islam resident of Gujranwala. In fourth operation, the staff of Police Station Multan intercepted a Truck during a raid near Ghazi Ghat Pull, District DG Khan, and recovered 72 Kg Hashish from secret cavity made in Fuel Tank and tool box of the seized truck. The said truck was loaded with 350x Cartons of Apples. Resultantly Two accused persons namely Shoukat Ali & Muhammad Sikandar both residents of Pishin (Quetta) were arrested on the spot. In fifth operation, the staff of Police Station Sialkot intercepted a Motorcycle near Barkat Hotel located on Circular road, Daska, District Sialkot and recovered 3.300 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the arrested accused namely Asghar Ali & Zeeshan Khalid both residents of Hafizabad. In sixth operation, the staff of Police Station Faisalabad raided near UBL Bank located on Pul Dengroo Sargodha road Faisalabad, intercepted a Motorcycle and recovered 1.200 Kg Heroin from possession of the arrested accused namely Muhammad Pervaiz resident of Chiniot. In Seventh operation, the staff of Police Station ANF Lahore intercepted a Canada bound suspected parcel from an international cargo office located at Kot Lakhkpat, Lahore and recovered 2.100 Kg Heroin which was concealed in 1 x shopping bag. The parcel was booked by Farhat Fatima resident of Gujranwala. In eighth operation, the staff of Police Station Multan intercepted a Truck loaded with charcoal near Fauji Hotel Chowk, located on Muzaffargarh-Multan road, Muzaffargarh and recovered 7.200 Kg Opium & 117.600 Kg Hashish from secret cavity made in Fuel Tank and tool box of the seized truck. Two accused persons namely Kaleem Ullah Bazai & Inayat Ullah both residents of Quetta were arrested on the spot. In ninth operation, the staff of Police Station Faisalabad intercepted a Honda City Car during raid near Faisalabad Motorway Toll Plaza, Sargodha and recovered 9 Kg Heroin from secret cavity of seized car. Resultantly Two accused namely Liaqat Ali resident of Charsada & Qismal Shair resident of District Khyber were arrested during the operation. In tenth operation, the staff of Police Station Faisalabad raided near Graveyard Chak No.274 JB, Bhawana road, Faisalabad and recovered 2 Kg Hashish alongwith Motorcycle from possession of the arrested accused namely Muhammad Asharaf resident of Chiniot.
ANF Rawalpindi, the staff of Police Station Regional Directorate apprehended an accused person namely Waseem Ali resident of Orakzai Agency during Naka near Motorway Link Road, Islamabad and recovered 2.100 Kg Hashish from his shoulder bag. In another operation, the staff of Police Station Regional Directorate Rawalpindi intercepted a passenger namely Mursaleen Khan resident of Swabi during checking at International Departure Briefing Hall at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 1.122 Kg Amphetamine which was concealed in his travelling bag. The accused was travelling to Riyadh (KSA). In third operation, Police Station Attock arrested an accused namely Zahid Hussain resident of Kohat near Iqbal Shaheed Toll Plaza, G.T Road, Attock and recovered 1.100 Kg Hashish & 223 Bore Rifle alongwith Magazine and 30x rounds from personal possession of the arrested accused. In fourth operation, Police Station Regional Directorate ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Mazda at Motorway Link Road, Islamabad and recovered 7 Kg Opium, 4 Kg Heroin & 17 Kg Hashish which was concealed in diesel tank of the said vehicle. Resultantly two accused persons namely Shah Rehman resident of District Khyber and Imran Khan resident of Peshawar were arrested on the spot.
All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations under CNS Act 1997 and further investigations are underway.
