QUETTA,(Parliament Times): A high-level meeting chaired by Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan reviewed the annual development program 20-2021 in detail. Provincial Minister for Communications Mir Arif Jan Muhammad Husenii, Parliamentary Secretary Information Bushra Rind, Chief Secretary Balochistan Capt. Retired Fazil Asghar, Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Abdul Sabur Kakar, Secretary S&GAD Muhammad Bilal Jamali, Secretary Finance Passand Khan Buledi, Secretary Roads Saleem Awan, Secretary Building Ghulam Ali Baloch, Secretary Information Shah Irfan Garsheen, Commissioner Division Asfandyar Kakar and other officials participated. During the meeting, the Chief Secretary Balochistan while giving a briefing on the development projects said that continued projects have given an authorization of Rs. 55 billion for the development projects. Out of 1597 new schemes, 1505 schemes have been approved by PDWB and D-ELIS. He said that so far Mecca Finance has released more than Rs. 44 billion for ongoing and ongoing development projects. The meeting has been informed that land was proposed on its own road for the construction of a new block of the Civil Secretariat, while the construction of a new building for government departments and directorates in the Civil Secretariat is yet to come from PP-1. All administrative concept papers will be required to be submitted by mid-January 2021 while the paste clearance will be cleared by Katz Concept Papers by 30 January 2021. Technical approval from PDWD and DLC will be sought for development projects by March and April by the Planning and Administration Department. He said that the first draft of PSDP would be prepared by May 15, 2021 while the draft would be prepared by May 30. The meeting was briefed by the Secretary Roads on the federal and provincial strategic road sector projects included in the Annual Qiyati Program 21-2020. Expressing his views, the Chief Minister said that Balochistan is a province rich in natural resources and there are vast reserves of gas, gold, marble and other minerals. A record increase in the province’s revenue could be achieved by promoting investment in minerals, energy tourism and skill areas. He said that record development projects were being worked on under the attitude of laying road networks in the district. The Chief Minister said that the feeling of the government and the people would be provided relief under the program. Similarly, telemedicine centers will be expanded to provide medical treatment to the people of remote areas. He said that the present government has started development programs in every sector in all the districts, the completion of which would not only benefit the common man but also bring development and prosperity in the region.
