The Islamic State group has claimed responsibility for the killing of 11 coal miners in the western Pakistani province of Balochistan.They were kidnapped by militants and killed near the coal mine on Saturday. The victims were members of a Hazara community. Hazaras have been repeatedly targeted by extremists. The attack took place late on Saturday night, near the small town of Mach, not far from the provincial capital, Quetta, and close to the border with Afghanistan. Balochistan is the country’s largest province. Armed militants kidnapped the miners from their shared residence and took them to some nearby mountains.Hazaras have been long persecuted in Pakistan, facing targeted attacks and large scale bombing that has killed hundreds in the last two decades. There have been more than 1600 targetted attacks on the Hazara Communituy in Quetta so far.The Secretary-General strongly condemned the terrorist attack and killing of at least 11 coal miners in the Balochistan Province of Pakistan . He extends his sincere condolences to the families of the miners and the people and Government of Pakistan. The Hazara Community is a patriot, civilized and extremely peaceful nation. The brave people of the Hazara community have been rendered invaluable services to the Pakistan. In the 1965 war, India suddenly invaded Pakistan in the dark of night. In this war, the Pakistani forces showed bravery and wisdom. In this war, Pakistan’s brave forces crushed India’s nefarious intentions. General Muhammad Musa was the Chief of the Pakistan Army in this war. General Musa Khan belonged to the Hazara Community Quetta. Musa Khan was born on 20 October 1908 in Quetta, to Hazara family. Countless people have been killed in these attacks. They protested several times by placing the bodies of dozens of people. The protests were so peaceful that not a single glass was broken. During a protest in the past, the then Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry praised the peaceful protest of the Hazara community. By holding peaceful protests by placing the bodies of dozens of people, they have proved to be a civilized and peaceful nation. By this they have proved that they are a patriotic and peace loving nation.The protest of Hazara community has been going on for 5 days today. The protesters are refusing to bury the victims of the attack until demands. Members of the Shia Hazara community who have blockaded a highway in Quetta with the bodies of slain coal miners said on Tuesday they will not withdraw until Prime Minister Imran Khan meets them and the killers are brought to justice. Armed attackers slit the throats of 11 miners in a residential compound near a mine site in Balochistan’s Mach coal field area on Sunday, filming the entire incident and later posting it online. The gruesome attack was claimed by the militant Islamic State (IS) group.Thousands of Hazaras have since staged a protest, arranging the coffins in the western bypass area in Quetta.Today’s protests, which were organised by the Majlis-i-Wahdat-i-Muslimeen (MWM) and Shia Ulema Council, were happening at several places across the city, including Abbas Town, Abul Hasan Ispahani Road, Kamran Chowrangi at Gulistan-i-Jauhar, Power House Chowrangi in North Karachi, M. A. Jinnah Road, Sharea Faisal and Malir 15. One track of the Sharea Faisal was also closed for traffic, according to the update. Protests have also started in front of the Governor House in Lahore. Traffic has been suspended there. ‘If a dog dies hungry on the banks of the River Euphrates, Umar will be responsible for dereliction of duty.’ Hazrat Umar Farooq (R.A). It is the responsibility of the government to provide security to the people. Prime Minister Imran Khan should go to Quetta and accept the demands of the Oppressed Hazara Community.
