ZHOB,(Parliament Times): In order to provide the health services to poor segment of society, Peoples Primary Health Care Initiatives and the Health department Sherani held a day-long free medical camp in far-off Inzarki Shin Ghar area of the district.

“On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Sherani Muhammad Ramzan Palal and CEO PPHI-Balochistan Aziz Jamali, supervised by DHO Dr. Syed Arif Shah, MS Dr. Daulat Shah and DSM PPHI Mustaq Ahmed Baloch, the Health department and PPHI Zhob-Sherani organized a free medical camp, where hundreds of deserving patients were treated free of cost.

The medical team comprising, male and female doctors examined 1135 patients including women and children suffering from various diseases and provided them with free medicines at Rural Health Center Inzarki Shin Ghar union council. District Nutrition Officer Dr. Tahir Sherani examined 876 mal-nourished children and provided them with food supplements. Moreover, 367 children suffering from measles were also vaccinated at the day-long camp. The officials concerned visited the camp and inspected the facilities. Skin specialist Dr. Ismail Nasar also examined the leishmaniasis patients and vaccinated them against the aliment.

Setting up free medical camps would not only ensure health care to the area people at their doorstep but would also overcome health issues and control several chronic and seasonal diseases. People of the area have highly appreciated the endeavors of PPHI and Health department particularly DC Ramzan Palal, DSM Mustaq Baloch, lab technician Zafar Kakar and Social Organizer PPHI Umer Khitab Babar to mitigate sufferings of ailing patients living in remote and backward areas of the district.

“Ever since the PPHI has started health services in Zhob and Sherani areas, there is a marked success. Community awareness sessions are also being conducted on Covid-19 in different parts” they said.
