LAHORE/ MUZAFFARABAD,  (Parliament Times) :Vice Chancellor PU, Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar visited COTHM Garden Town campus on Tuesday, December 23, 2020.
Expressing pleasure over the collaborative efforts by COTHM and University of the Punjab, Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar stated that it is an honor for both the institutions, as it allows them to stay in constant touch with the youth of the nation. He added, “What matters in the end is how you benefit others through your knowledge.”
The Vice chancellor also visited the facility and appreciated the state of the art campus of COTHM. He then interacted with students and faculty. Team COTHM interviewed him for monthly magazine Hospitality Plus.
He mentioned that PU holds a role model status among all Pakistani educational institutions. So we focus on all aspects that are imperative to make PU the leading institute in the region. We are always striving to contribute to the country’s good in whatever way we can. At international level, we have started to collaborate with the topmost institutions of the world. Numerous MOUs have been signed with the globally leading organizations and institutions and it is an immense pleasure to collaborate with COTHM Pakistan.
Dr. Niaz appreciated the collective hardwork of the team that stood first in the International Eurhodip Challenge 2020 organized by Stenden Hotel Management School. Over 100 teams from 39 countries submitted their entries for this year’s competition, out of which 10 were shortlisted. A team of students from COTHM won the international competition that focused on the theme of impact of digital media on promoting a hotel brand.
VC Punjab University further said, “PU is a role model for institutions across Pakistan, therefore we keep an eye on all those aspects of learning that can help us maintain a high-quality level of education in Pakistan and particularly in Punjab. We are striving to contribute to the country’s welfare and progress in whatever way we can.”
