SARGODHA,(Parliament Times): German Aid for Afghan Children (GAAC) distributed food packages among deserving Christian families in Sargodha on Thursday. GAAC distributed packages among deserving families in the connection of Christmas and New Year. 1000 families were benefited by the food packages at the occasion.
Speaking at the occasion, Director GAAC, Alim Shahaab said that, he will leave no stone unturned to approach poor section of the society in this critical condition of corona pandemic. The journey of helping the poor and needy people will be continued. He said that affected people would not be left alone in this hard time and all out support and help would be provided to them. He maintained that the Pakistani nation was combating against the coronavirus threat and would succeed with courage and commitment. Pakistan is his second country. While staying in Pakistan he never feels like he is living out of his own country. He and President GAAC, Dr. Eros are firmly standing with the people of Pakistan in the current situation caused by coronavirus pandemic, he added.
Alim Shahaab said that GAAC has long history of standing with the masses of Pakistan in the time of need. It played its remarkable role in Pakistan after the earthquake of 2005 and flood of 2010. GAAC will be continuously helping the poor at their door steps in future as well, he further said.
Hopefully we will continue distributing food packs and reaching the neediest, but the need is great therefore richer people must help the needy people in their neighbourhood. We cannot leave it to just to the government, but we all have a responsibility and we must unite and emerge as a strong nation from the COVID-19 crisis, he added.
