Say India has no authority to impose its decisions on Kashmiri people,

Muzaffarabad: An important meeting on Indian military repression, human rights violations and partition of the state in occupied Jammu and Kashmir was held here on Monday having representatives of various political, religious parties, and civil society.

According to details, the meeting rejected all the steps taken by the Indian government inside the occupied state as a violation of the UN Charter and basic human rights.

It was stated in the press release of the meeting that the state of Jammu and Kashmir is one unit. Around 20 million people reserve the right to decide their political future, “India has no authority or legitimacy to impose decisions on the people of the disputed state by force and aggression” meeting stated.

The meeting discussed the malicious measures taken by the Indian rulers such as partition of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, destruction of state identity and planned attacks on the Muslims’ identity including the cancellation of the state subject besides issuance of Kashmiri domicile to millions of Indian citizens.

The meeting called on the international human rights organizations, Amnesty International and Asia Watch to raise their voices over the ongoing massacre of Kashmiri youth, arrests of innocents, Indian army attacks on homes and the economy of Kashmir people.

It was decided that a large number of people would gather at Lalchowk Upper Ada on November 19th to demand a referendum from the United Nations and the international community to determine the political future of the state.

People expressed concerns over the complete silence of the Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on the Kashmir issue and demanded that the Government of Azad Kashmir should announce an organized people’s movement against India for the independence of the occupied state and against the Indian Army atrocities.

The meeting demanded from the government of Pakistan to revive the aggressive political and diplomatic policy for the solution of Jammu and Kashmir issue and expose India’s racist attitude around the world.

Naib Ameer Jamat e Islamic Sheikh Aqeel Ur Rehman, Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu Kashmir Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, Vice Chairman International Forum for Justice and Human Rights Mushtaq Ul Islam, Shaukat Javed Mir, Ateeq ur Rehman Danish, Ateeq ur Rehman Danish, Qari Abdul Majid, Maulana Zahid ul Islam, Raja Muhammad Zaheer Khan, Sajjad Anwar Abbasi, Javed Ahmed Mughal, Bilal Ahmed Farooqui, Azmat Hayat Kashmiri, Syed Yasir Naqvi and others were also present on the occasion.
