Muzaffarabad,(Parliament Times): Chief Secretary Mathar Niaz Rana has assured approval of the summary of additional funds of Rs 4 crore sent by the Information Department. A statement issued by Press Information Department (PID) Muzaffarabad said that orders have been issued to all the departments to pay the arrears of development advertisement of newspapers before June 30.
Pertinently, during its recent meeting with Chief Secretary Mathar Niaz Rana the AKNS delegation led by its President Sardar Zahid Tabassum informed the Chief Secretary that the state media was facing severe difficulties due to the situation caused by Corona-virus. The delegation stressed the need for early payment of long pending outstanding bills, which the government departments have not paid despite the lapse of several months. On this occasion, the Chief Secretary acknowledged the role of state media. He said, “The state newspapers not only supported the government in the most difficult of circumstances but also launched a campaign to raise awareness about the Coronavirus.
