Khar: Malik Ayaz brother of Malik Shaheen of Laghari tehsil Mamond and prominent member of Bajaur Peace Committee has a narrow escape in an IED blast that went off while he was returning back home from district headquarter Khar on Sunday.
According to district police, Malik Ayaz’s car hit an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) during travelling from district head quarter Khar to his home town. Ayaz luckily escaped unhurt but his car was heavily damaged. Mamond tribes who fought shoulder to shoulder with Pakistani security forces during war against terror have given huge sacrifice and lost many leading figures during the decades’ long war. Bajaur tribal district that has remained peaceful for the past two years is unfortunately once again in the eye of storm. There is a dire need to keep a close eye on the miscreants to maintain peace in the region.
