LAHORE: SSP Mufakhar Adeel while recording his statement to Police has said that he killed Shahbaz Tatla because he had raped his wife.
Absconding SSP Mufakhar Adeel who was wanted in murder case of Shahbaz Tatla was arrested with the help of security agencies.
While recording his preliminary statement to police he disclosed that he killed Shahbaz Tatal and fled from Lahore.
He told in his statement that his former wife Isma got angry with him in 2012 and she went to the house of Shahbaz Tatla. No one was present in the house of Shahbaz Titla at that time and he raped her by taking advantage of this opportunity. This incident led to my separation with my ex wife Isma.
Mufakhar Adeel further told to police Shahbaz Tatla tried to sexually assault his present wife Aleeza and he also told her about what he had done with my ex wife. This all was told by my present wife to me. I started smoldering in the fire of revenge and I evolved planning to murder Shahbaz Tatla.
According to the arrested SSP, he went upto Gujranwala after killing Tatla, he stayed there for two days and then he moved to Islamabad. After staying two days in Islamabad he went upto Gilgit-Baltistan. However he was arrested with the help of law enforcement agencies.
According to police Mufakhar Adeel came in Wapda town to meet some one and he was arrested on a lead from an informer.
The murder case of Shahbaz Titla is registered in police station Nasir Abad.
Mufakhar Adeel has been handed over to police on 5-day physical remand in kidnapping and murder case of Shahbaz Tatla.
Mufakhar Addel was taken into custody from Gilgit-Baltistan and was shifted to Lahore for investigation.
