Rawalakot:    International Human Rights day was observed as Kashmiri Human without Human rights in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

A seminar was held under the aegis of Institute of Dialogue, Development and Diplomatic Studies (IDDDS) in collaboration with University of Poonch, Rawalakot here on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Director IDDDS Dr. Waleed Rasool said that people in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) are caged by 0.9 million Indian armed forces.

He reiterated, “None of any international human rights law can protect us until we become in power, several people were killed in IOK who demand for their basic human rights and still people of Kashmir seeks attention of international human rights organizations and United Nations.”

He maintained that more than 13 thousand youngsters are under arrest by armed forces without any crime and the apprehended persons are transferred to different jails in India and their parents are unable to meet them, “these are grave human rights violations and the global world is silent” he said.

He urged the participants to work hard for Kashmir freedom movement, “role of our young generation to highlight Kashmir issue in global forums is inevitable” he added.

Sardar Tahir Anwar on the occasion said that international human rights organizations deliberate silence of human rights violations in IOK is frightening for the peace in the region.

He said that our struggle main purpose is to annex with Pakistan, saying that our elders have passed resolution to annex with Pakistan on 19 July 1947 before the independence of Pakistan.

PTI leader and motivational speaker Raja Shujaat said, “People in Indian Occupied Kashmir are growing under psychological pressure, people in IOK are under continuous curfew and military siege for more than 4 months”

He maintained that aim of curfew is also to give immense economic loss to the masses in IOK, but the spirit of Kashmiri people is heroic and they don’t compromise on anything but freedom from Indian occupation.

Khawaja Kashif Mir presented a documentary on Indian atrocities and presented the statistics of killings, rapes and human rights violations in IOK, moreover he urged the youngsters and media persons to promote Kashmir cause on every platform.

Vice Chancellor University of Poonch Professor emeritus Dr. Rasool Jan (Sitara-e-Imtiaz), Ex Minister AJK Sardar Tahir Anwar, Dean faculty of agriculture Professor meritorious Dr. Abdul Hameed, Director IDDDS Dr. Waleed Rasool, Khawaja Kashif Mir, Dr. Mohsin Zafar Assistant Professor, Deputy Director Advanced Studies and research Board, Dr. Bilal and others were also present on the occasion.

Speakers on the occasion urged the youngsters to highlight Kashmir issue and demanded International human rights organizations and United Nations to stop human rights violations in IOK.
