Muzaffarabad: Director General Azad Jammu and Kashmir Health department Dr. Sardar Aftab Hussain has said that health department is endeavoring to give all basic facilities to the masses with limited resources.
While talking to media representatives here on Thursday, he said that Abbas Institute of Medical Science (AIMS) is going to have burn center under China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) before long.
He said, “we are ensuring the availability of all kind of medicines in our hospitals, 6 more districts are going to enrolled under Sehet Sahulat card program.”
He further elaborated that 950 million Rupees will be provided for the availability of basic health instruments including burn center for AJK.
He asserted to a question that we have one doctor on every 4 thousand population and health department is utilizing all of its resources including man power to its best both primary and secondary health care services.
“Department of Health is facing shortage of man power, however, every single person is punctuall bound to fulfill his duties even after working hours” DG health stated.
He said that media role cannot be denied for the awareness of health education and precautionary measures, “only health department cannot reduce all the flaws unless media apprise us and we appreciate the positive role of media for the provision of health facilities for patients” Dr. Aftab added.
