Peshawar: KP government doctors have called off the strike and work in OPDs has started.
After successful negotiations among Doctor Council and CM Mahmood Khan doctors decided to call off the strike.
With ending the strike in government hospitals doctors started performing routine duty. Patients rushed towards hospitals after the doctors returned to their duty in all government hospitals including Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH) and Hayat Abad Medical Complex
Doctors were on strike for last 6 days and all OPDs were closed that’s why patents faced hurdles
It is worth mentioning that on May 16 clash between PM Imran khan’s Cousin Dr Nosherawan Barki and Associate Professor Dr Ziauddin occurred and after that provincial minister for health Dr Hasham Inam Ullah along with his guards allegedly tortured Dr ziauddin physically. As a result doctors went on strike and stopped working in the government hospitals including KTH, LRH, and Hayat Abad Medical Complex.
