MIRPUR (AJK):   Azad Jammu & Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan said on Sunday that his government would provide all possible facilities including interest-free loans to the farmers for the uplift of dairy development sector in the State.

Speaking as chief guest at the Horse & Cattle Show in Khuiratta town of Kotli district of Mirpur division on Sunday he said that the holding of the grand ‘horse-n-cattle’ festival every year in Khuiratta played a significant role in reviving the ancient culture, history and traditions of our forefathers in the State.

He said that Horse & Cattle Show reflected Kashmiris typical tradition and culture in Azad Jammu & Kashmir.

The Prime Minister continued that the cattle-heads fostering schemes were not only proving to be useful for strong source of income for the families involved but also cause increase dairy products like meat and milk to meet the local needs.

Haider said his government was taking requisite steps to provide more better facilities to the farmers and peasants to enable to secure maximum possible of their productions and per acre yields.

The Prime Minister appreciated the traditional local sports contests held in the grant Horse & Cattle show.

He said “such healthy activities set and encourage healthy trend in the society”. He said ‘the grand show also provides great entertainment to the people every year”. “It also gives incentive to the local people to foster good breed cattle heads facilitating to meet the local needs of meat and dairy products”, he added.

Farooq Haider said that the forward areas population inhibiting close to the Line of Control in Azad Jammu Kashmir stand should to shoulder with valiant armed forces of Pakistan for defending inch-after-inch of the motherland.

The Prime Minister lauded the continued high morale of the forward areas population living near the LoC in AJK despite the repeated Indian aggressive posture in the region.

Haider underlined that despite mounted escalation and frequent incidents of unprovoked Indian firing from across the LoC, majority of people did not leave their homes and hearths. “The valiant forward areas’ people are in fact the first defense line at the Line of Control”, he remarked.
