SRINAGAR:     Expressing concern over the deteriorating health of incarcerated Liberation Front chairman, Mohammad Yasin Malik in Tihar, jail, Jammu Kashmir National Front has said that New Delhi is using its institutions against our leaders including National Front chairman, Nayeem Khan to intimidate and harass them. The party said that India has filled jails in and outside the state to crush the ongoing freedom struggle the same way British were using tyranny as state policy to crush the Indian freedom struggle. But history bears witness to the fact that India achieved its independence despite oppression and suppression of British. The time is not far when New Delhi will accept the freedom of Kashmiri nation the same way the British accepted the Indian freedom.
National Front also condemned the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and National Investigation Agency (NIA) for issuing summons every now and then against political leaders, businessmen and their relatives. The party has said that New Delhi is resorting to the worst forms of state terrorism to terrorize the resistance leadership of Kashmir so that there is nobody to challenge its illogical and illegal occupation of Kashmir. The party also condemned the booking of resistance activists and leaders under the draconian laws like Public Safety Act (PSA) and shifting them to jails outside the valley.
National Front condemned the banning of advertisements to three leading news papers of the state including Greater Kashmir, Kashmir Uzma and Kashmir Reader and called it the most undemocratic decision of the authorities. Such undemocratic acts are a clear message that New Delhi is treating Kashmir, its people and its institutions as conquered and it acts like Nazi rulers.
