LAHORE: The AJK minister for Information Mushtaq Ahmed Minhas and minister for works Ch. Muhammad Aziz on Thursday met with former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in Kot Lakhpat jail Lahore and enquired about his health.
Sources said that Sharif who was supposed to meet his family member on Thursday also showed keenness to meet with AJK ministers. In the one on one meeting matters of mutual interest were discussed between them. Sharif on this occasion expressed thanks to PML-N workers and leaders for well wishes and praying for the health of former Pakistan’s premier.
Minhas lauded the courage, remarkable sacrifice for democracy and historical steps of Sharif for the growth and development of the country. The ministers told him that workers of PML-N from AJK would visit him on March 23 to express solidarity. They claimed that there was great enthusiasm among PML-N workers for Sharif who would turn up on March 23 in a very large number to see him.
Sharif talking to the ministers said people of AJK were his real asset who expressed extraordinary love and attachments for him and had been continually expressing solidarity with him in this testing time. He directed the AJK ministers to work with commitment and devotion for the welfare of masses of the State under the leadership of Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan. He said he had tolerated all the sufferings without lodging any protest for the sake of public of Pakistan. He said the days have been numbered for ruling government that came into being through fake mandate. He urged the PML-N workers to move ahead by evolving unity and discipline among their ranks and files and assured that he would keep playing his role for growth and development of the country. Sharif also expressed love and affection for the people of IOK. They told Sharif that entire Kashmir gets sad on the news of his deteriorating health. They said entire nation pays you salam for bearing difficulties and sufferings with such courage.
AJK Information Minister also lauded the courage of Maryam Nawaz with which she had been fighting the case of her father.
