Islamabad: Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) has decided to bring 15,000 houses under tax net located in the private housing schemes.
MCI is expected to collect Rs 500 million, additional’ amid property tax.
As per media reports MCI has decided to extend the property tax net to private housing schemes as it has started the programme for expanding their tax net.
In the recent meeting of MCI, it has been decided to bring private housing schemes located in three zones of Islamabad under property tax net.
Corporation has approved this recommendation after which property tax is being collected from houses in Zone two, four and five of the Capital.
Initially, Rs 500 million amid property tax will be collected from 15,000 houses located in the private housing schemes for which a department of revenue department is taking services of a private company.
