ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has been moved for immediately suspending membership of National Assembly (NA) of Mian Shahbaz Sharif, removing him as chairman Public Accounts Committee (PAC) and directing speaker NA to nominate hew chairman of PAC in place of Shahbaz Sharif.
The petitioner Shahid Orakzai has prayed the court to ask NA speaker under what article of the constitution or the law for the time being in force or for that matter the rule of business did he approach the Prime Minister (PM) outside the Majlis-e-Shoora (parliament) and later the Mian Shahbaz Sharif was assigned the office of chairman PAC unopposed.
Petition said the constitution does not entitle the speaker NA to make special consultations with PM. The committee of which chairman is appointed by PM will perform its function how.
The court should ask NA speaker how the public money is being spent in million of rupees on Shahbaz Sharif for his luxurious travel, extravagant security and majestic medical treatment. There is no limit to generosity in Punjab province and the prisoners are being meted out princely treatment practically,
The petition said the Accountability Court (AC) Lahore offered to arrange air ambulance for appearance of Shahbaz Sharif in a pending reference. It should be asked any room for chartering ambulance exists where in Ehtesab ordinance.
Citing to an English proverb “ Like father, like son” , the petitioner slammed Hamza Shahbaz Sharif too besides his father Shahbaz Sharif. Hamza Shahbaz practically functioned as chief minister Punjab for 8 years and now both father and son are holding the office of opposition leader in NA and Punjab Assembly.
