MUZAFFARABAD: (Parliament Times) The Chief Justice AJK High Court Justice Aftab Tabassum Alvi has called upon government employees to discharge their duties, adhering to law and justice in the State.
He was addressing, as chief guest, to the concluding ceremony of 7th Midcareer Management Course here on Friday. He said it is responsibility of civil servants to implement senior’s orders in accordance with policy and law and keep them informed about legal intricacies as well.
“State is like a mother, therefore, state’s employees should keep state’s interests above their personal interests” he said and added that training courses enhance professional proficiency and capabilities of the employees. These courses are of paramount importance in employees’ life. It is also necessary for their personality development, he stated.
Acknowledging Kashmir Training Institute as a quality training institute he said it made its good reputation in a short period of time.
Justice Alvi said dispensing with justice is everyone’s responsibility. He stressed civil servants not to misuse of their official powers and make public service as their priority always. It is also responsibility of government employees never to implement on illegal directives wherefrom they might come. In case they are given such directives from any authority they should inform it of its legal course of action.
Director General Kashmir Institute of Management Brig. Retd. Syed Akhtar Hussain Shah on this occasion presented the course report.
The ceremony was attended by Secretary Services and General Administration Ch. Liaquat Hussain, Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell Mansoor Qadir Dar, DG Local Government and Rural Development Sardar Gul Zaman Khan and DG Tourism Irshad Ahmed Peerzada.
