Rawalpindi: Senior Provincial Minister Mian Mehmood-ur- Rasheed has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s recent visit to China was not for seeking loan but for enhancing bilateral trade and investment between two countries.
He informed that there is no project under consideration to supply water to Rawalpindi through Ghazi-Barotha Hydropower Project, however the Water Supply Scheme Project would be soon re-launched.
He said this on Tuesday during his visit to Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA).
He urged NAB to file a reference against ex Chief Minister Punjab for corruption in Water Supply Scheme, which gave a loss of Rs10b to national exchequer.
Government would announce a relief package for the employees of WASA and RDA, but after an audit of last 10 years.
Briefing on Apna Ghar Scheme, he informed that 25 to 30 lac house would be constructed in Punjab, which would be started from Provincial Headquarters and then move to other cities.
