Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has given the approval to start government hosing scheme for low-income people.
As per media reports, RDA accorded yes nod to start government housing scheme in order to provide houses to poor families, Scale 1 to 16 employees and lower middle class in Rawalpindi.
This housing scheme will include Water, Electricity, Sui Gas, Schools, Markets, Mosque and playgrounds facilities too. Plots will be given on installments to citizens and regarding this the plots of 3, 5 and 7 Marla will be introduced .
This scheme will be announced in upcoming 72 hours while all preparations have been completed on this count.
This scheme will be started with the support of private partners.
Such private partners will be included who own 2000 kanal property while in order to secure money of citizens in all the registered societies across the district, RDA has decided to make them online
Separate numbers will be allotted to all the approved plots of each private housing society and they will be sold online on website.
“No more plots” will be mentioned on the website of the housing society when all the plots are sold.
Chairman RDA Arif Abbasi has said that RDA has decided to construct government housing societies under the Prime Minister Imran Khan Five million housing scheme, this is a joint project by government and private partners.
