Rawlalpindi: RCB’s anti-encroachment drive has been going on in full swing in different areas of the city. The Cantonment Board officials on Thursday seized 3 trucks of different items and took into custody counters, benches and hand-carts from vendors who had setup their stalls illegally on roads and pathways in different markets of Sadar, Tenchbata, MithuKhan and surrounding areas of the city. Moreover the authorities demolished 10 illegally constructed shops near Railroad and dismantled 50 encroachments. Earlier, notices were issued property owners to remove encroachments voluntarily before the initiation of legal action.
Meanwhile, RCB’s Building Control Department has issued notice to 35 building owners for illegal construction and without formal approval of building map or without map. According to RCB spokesman, during the past one month several raids have been conducted by RCB, building control department teams and the owners of buildings and structures constructed illegally have been issued notices. Qaisar Mehmood the spokesman RCB said that raids were conduction in several areas including Misrial Road, Tenchbata, Misriayal Road, Allabad and Naseerabad areas. He said that 35 building rules violators were served notices as RCB administration is taking action in accordance with the law against illegal constructions.
