Islamabad : Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Tuesday told the Parliament session that no Israeli jet was entered in Pakistan, adding news in this regard is false and fabricated.
He was speaking at the Parliament session. Shah Mehmood Qureshi said completing the NA quorum is joint responsibility of the government and opposition as the session was called to discuss matters pertaining to the prevailing financial crunch.
The foreign minister suggested that there should be charted of economy between the government and opposition in order to improve the country’s current state of economy.
Qureshi said that no condition was imposed by the Saudi government while granting financial package to Pakistan as Saudi Arabia’s financial assistance is just to bring a Muslim-brotherly country out from financial crisis.
Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif agreed with Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s statement over the news regarding Israel‘s plane arrival in Pakistan but said he cannot disregard Maulana Abdul Wasy’s statement in this regard.
Qureshi said the economic challenge is not new when PPP government was ruling in the country the main issue was economic crunch and PPP government approached the IMF for financial package and the same was did by the PML-N government during its ruling. He said it is country’s issue not the issue of a single political party.
PPP senior leader and member Parliament Syed Khursheed Shah while pointing out about vacant opposition benches said the opposition is interested to discuss that the number of government members’ parliament is less than opposition members. He said completing quorum is government’s responsibility.
He regretted over vacant seats of government’s members parliament. He said it is matter of pleasure for the opposition that the country’s economy grows as it’s an important issue but unfortunately government is not paying attention in this regard.
He said other political parties are ruling the provinces not the PTI and it is their responsibility to cooperate with the government if they want to improve the prevailing situation in the country. The foreign minister said former finance minister Ishaq Dar and PPP leaders often talk about charted of economy and today he request the opposition to come forward and sign a charted of economy with the government in the best interest of the country.
Ali Muhammad Khan while supporting Qureshi suggestion said we should discuss economic issue. He said the country was ruled by dictators for 40 years and they want the democratic government’s continuity.
Speaker National Assembly appreciated PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif suggestion and asked the government to take opposition into confidence on its meeting with Saudi and Chinese leaders.
Member Parliament Maulana Abdul Wasy informed the session that an Israel journalist had twitted in this regard. He made it clear that they will not allow any compromise on national sovereignty. He, however, rejected the government refusal in this regard.
