RAWALPINDI: On the direction of Cantonment Executive Officer anti-encroachment drive is being carried out on day to day basis. This was stated by spokesman of Cantonment Board Rawalpindi Qaisar Mehmood. In People Colony where 10 shops were sealed, in Ehata Mithoo Khan 11 shops and two godowns were sealed. Earlier, notices were issued to these shops. Due to non-fulfilling the commitment, Enforcement Branch of the Cantt. Board these shops were sealed. In other areas of the Cantt notices were also issued to 50 shops. Meanwhile, in the other areas of the Cantt operation was carried in Misrial Road, Chungee No.22, Sadar, Bank Road, Peshawar Road, Lane No.5, Pir Wadahi Mor, Kaccha Stop. In many areas banners and posters were removed from the walls.
Notices were also issued by the crew of Food Branch of the Cantt Board to different food points of Sadar, Bank Road, Peshawar Road, Ilahaabad. 28 food points were checked and 16 were fined for possessing non-cleanliness items, and they were issued show cause notices . Ten samples of non-prohibited items were sent to Laboratories for checking/verification.
