Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) The former Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and President All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan while condemning India’s naked aggression against Kashmiri people has said that Modi government was hell bent on to convert Muslim majority state into a minority by changing the demographics of the region.
Khan made these assertions while talking to media men here on Wednesday. He said that for BJP Government, Article 370 and 35-A of the Indian Constitution were the biggest impediments in the way of changing demography of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Referring to recently adopted 13th Amendment Bill the former premier regrettably noted that “the adoption of the bill has provided yet another opportunity to India and as a result the Modi government has resorted to legal course by approaching the supreme court to get the article 35-A revoked”. He said that Indian bid to revoke article 35A has triggered massive protests all across the occupied territory. Denouncing Modi government’s move to remove these constitutional safeguards that guarantee special status to Jammu and Kashmir he said that the people of AJK will stand shoulder to shoulder with their brothers in their struggle. He appealed the people of AJK to observe two hours shutter down on 31 August to express solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir.
