Gilgit: (Parliament Times) The Chief Minster Gilgit Baltistan Hafiz Hafeez ur Rehman while addressing office bearers of the Youth Parliament of Pakistan here on Tuesday said that the future of GB lies in the hands of youth generation. He insisted that there were far more opportunities for youth in the GB as compared to other provinces of the country.
“This is for the very first time that youth is being represented directly in the GB Cabinet and Assembly”, the CM said adding that it was one of the priority concerns of the present government to provide youth with more opportunities towards development.
The CM-GB said that establishment of GB Cabinet of YPP was a welcome step and the efforts of the youth parliament in this regard were highly appreciable.
“The youth parliament is advised to prepare proposals for the betterment of governance”, he said while assuring the participants of the meeting that a Youth Think Tank will be established in GB.
The CM has advised the Minister of Youth Affairs to coordinate with the youth parliament in every aspect. He pointed out that the absence of feudalism adds to the opportunities for the public in participating in political activities.
