Islamabad: An important meeting will be held on June 13 to mull over the security of politicians during the ensuing general elections.
The meeting will also discuss the security of public meetings, corner meetings, deployment of Pak army and Rangers, review the situation pertaining to sensitive and most sensitive polling stations, and installation of security cameras at the polling stations.
According to media reports Election Commission has convened a meeting under the chairmanship of Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Raza Khan on June 13 to review the security arrangements during the forthcoming general elections.
Additional Secretary Administration will give comprehensive briefing on the preparations. Provincial Election Commissionrs will give their points of view on elections in reference to provincial governments. The meeting will also chalk out a strategy and among other issues will discuss at length the entire scenario of law and order and will review the recommendations of federal and provincial governments. Security of polling staffers, Election Commission buildings, ballot papers, printing press and monitoring teams will also come up for discussion.
