Muzaffarabad: Azad Jammu and Kashmir prime minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan has termed Kishan Ganga hydro power project being constructed by India as illegal and said government will approach international forum to force India to abide by the Indus Water Treaty.

He expressed these views during his meeting with federal minister for CAD Tariq Fazal Chaudry and an interview with a private TV channel.

“Kishan Ganga Dam is illegal from the beginning as India started the project unilaterally and in violation of Indus Water Treaty,” Prime Minister Haider said and called upon Pakistan government to raise the issue at all available global forums including World Bank.

Commenting on recent visit of Indian PM Narandra Modi to Kashmir, AJK prime minister said that India is trying to create delusion in Kashmir through the power of its media to create an economic delusion in Kashmir and to perpetuate its illegal occupation in the valley.

He said India politicians, media and government are unanimous and united on Kashmir issue but unfortunately we are divided and polarized.

It is now high time for the entire political leadership of Pakistan to get united on Kashmir and include the issue of Kashmir in their respective election manifesto, Prime Minister Haider asserted.

He also urged national media to give space to Kashmir issue in prime time so that struggling people of Jammu and Kashmir could be encouraged.

The Prime Minister remarked that India will never be able to crush the freedom struggle of the people of Kashmir as exemplary perseverance, commitment and bravery has become a beacon of hope and faith for all Kashmiris.
