ZHOB: Three accused have been acquitted in the murder case of a young man by a district and sessions court here. The court observed that the prosecution failed to prove the charges under section 302 (murder) of the Pakistan Panel Code against the accused persons.
District and Sessions Judge Nasir Khan Yousafzai exonerated Qasim, Sabir and Sadozai in the last year murder case for want of evidence against them. The judge announced his verdict after recording the evidences and final arguments from both sides. The judge observed that the prosecution had failed to produce sufficient evidence before the court to prove its case against the accused.
The police had registered a case under Sections 302 (intentional murder of the PCC last year. Advocate Sheikh Azam Mandokhail pursued the case.

Sentenced to imprisonment:
District and sessions court sentenced a man to seven years in jail on in a land grabbing case. District and Sessions Judge Nasir Khan Yousafzai found accused Sher Hassan S/O Shah Hussain, guilty of unlawfully occupying the land of complainant Saeed Ahmed S/O Bashir Ahmed resident of Zhob city. The court announced its verdict after recording the final arguments of both sides. The judge sentenced the accused of seven year rigorous imprisonment and also imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 on the convict and in case of default he would have to undergo an additional simple imprisonment of one month. He was also directed to pay the fine of Rs 100,000 to the complainant as compensation under section 544-A Cr P.C and in case of default of payment to further undergo two months simple imprisonment. The complainant had filed complaint against the accused under Section 3 of the Illegal Dispossession Act, 2005 of the Pakistan Panel Code. He was sent to Central Jail in Zhob.
