Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali on Saturday claimed that Karachi has decided it would vote for the PPP in the upcoming elections.
He expressed this views talking to media person while visiting NJV School in Karachi. Provincial education minister Jam Mehtab Der and other officials were also present on the occasion.
Cm Shah said the party is not the least bit concerned about MQM’s show of strength Saturday at Tanki ground. “MQM can hold all the rallies it wants,” he said. “The situation in Karachi will not be like as it was before August 22.’’
He said that it was strange how the MQM had remembered Liaquatabad all of a sudden after the PPP’s recent rally there.
The chief minister said that it was the PPP government that had put an end to the black era. He added that Karachi had rejected those who promoted hate.
Shah said the provincial government will implement all educational policies in current fiscal year, adding that teachers have important role in student’s character building.
To a question, he said that PPP never promoted hate among people, adding that people were misguided by few elements, but the people of Karachi have rejected negative propaganda against PPP
