“AJK President, PM condole death of religious scholar”

MIRPUR (AJK): Veteran religious Kashmiri leader, central President of Jammiat Ulema-e-Jammu & Kashmir and former minister of AJK for Auqaf and Zakaat Sahibzada Pir Attique ur Rehman Faizpuri died of cardiac arrest here Sunday morning. He was 60.
The seasoned Kashmiri religious scholar-cum-politician, Sajaada Nasheen Aastana e Alia Faizpur Shareef in Mirpur district, was brought to the state-run Kashmir Institute of Cardiology (KIC) at the wee hours on Sunday after he suffered pain in chest. Doctors tried their best to save the life of the eminent scholar – but failed.
He will be laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard at Aastana e Aalia Faiz pur Shareef Dhaangri Shareef, at Chakswari in Mirpur district on Monday – March 19. The funeral prayer of the deceased would be offered at 2.00 p.m.
AJK President Sardar Masood Khan and the Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan and ex Chief Justice of AJK High Court and JKLL President Justice (Retd) Abdul Majeed Mallick have expressed deep sense of shock and grief over the demise of the eminent religious scholar and politician Sahibzada Pir Attique ur Rehman Faiz puri. In their separate condolence message, they termed his death a great loss to the nation and the country especially Azad Jammu & Kashmir – where he actively performed through out his life for the preaching and promotion of the teachings of Islam and being the great preacher of the ideology of last prophet hood of Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). “The late Sahibzada stood fast throughout his life for the reverence and grace of the Prophet hood of the Almighty Allah as the last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him)”, the Kashmiri leaders said.
They prayed for the rest of the departed soul in eternal peace and grant of fortitude to the bereaved family and his admirers to bear the great loss with courage.
