ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has sought replies from the parties concerned on the petition filed against the appointment of president Zarai Tarqiati Bank (ZTB) and has adjourned the hearing of the case for two weeks.

A single bench of IHC led by Justice Aamir Farooq took up for hearing a petition filed by secretary All Pakistan Zarai Tarqiati Bank Employees Union (APZTBEU) on Tuesday.

The counsel for petitioner argued the president ZTB is not having the requisite experience and he is also involved in the transaction of a benami property.

He prayed the court to declare appointment of president ZTB illegal.

Governor state bank of Pakistan, secretary finance and president ZTB Tallat Mehmood have been made respondents in the petition.
