ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has again referred Atiqa Odho liquor recovery case to trial court for a fresh decision.

A two members bench of SC presided over by Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik took up for hearing Atiqa Odho petition in liquor recovery case Monday.

The counsel for Atiqa Odho said during the course of hearing of the case that “ trial court has not heard their objections nor has it given its opinion on it in its decision. Our objection is this that air port lounge does not fall in the definition of public places. Therefore, Hudood ordinance is not applicable to this case.

Justice Manzoor Malik remarked “ I don’t want to comment on the case. If I say some thing then you will say court influences the case.

The counsel for Customs department said airport lounge also comes under the definition of public place.

The court after hearing the arguments from both sides set aside high court and trial court decisions in Attiqa Odho liquor recovery case and referred the case to trial court again to give decision afresh on the petition seeking her acquittal by Attiqa Odhu.

The court also ordered that trial court should give clear orders on the points raised in the petition.
