ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar has remarked reforms will be introduced in judiciary within a week.

“we will bring reforms within a week in judiciary. Then no one should say we are interfering and overstepping”, CJP gave these remarks while addressing federal minister during the hearing of case of failure of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to develop rules and regulations.

The court gave time of two months to CDA to develop rules and regulations .

The CJP remarked during the hearing of the case there is lack of uniformity in CDA laws. Rules and regulations have not been framed in several matters.

The CJP inquired from state minister CADD Tariq Afzal” tell us it will take how much time to correct all these matters.

The minister said “ give us three months to set the house in order .

CJP remarked “ complete this whole work within two months instead of three months. Work earnestly round the clock.

He further remarked reforms will start coming in judiciary within a week. On the other hand it is not our domain to bring reforms.

CJP inquired “ legislating is whose responsibility in the world.

The minister replied “ legislation is job of parliament.

CJP remarked “ what reforms have been introduced by the parliament. We will come up with reforms in judicial system. Then no one should say we are interfering and overstepping. My focus is on education, health and judiciary reforms.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case for two months.
