Islamabad: (Parliament Times) The prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said that creation of an independent and separate homeland was founding father Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s greatest gift for the Muslims of the Indian subcontinent.

“Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was the man of principles, honesty and integrity”, the AJK premier said this while addressing a special ceremony held in connection to celebrate birth anniversaries of founding father M A Jinnah and PML-N president Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif here on Monday. Speaker legislative Assembly Shah Ghulam Qadir, Information Minister Mushtaq Minhas, Ch. Aziz and others were present on the occasion.

Paying eulogizing tributes to the great leader he said that Jinnah not only changed the course of history but created a separate homeland for the socially and economically marginalized Muslims populous of Indian subcontinent. “The motive behind the establishment of Muslim League in the liberated territory (Azad Kashmir) was to further strengthen and cement the ideological relations setout by the Pakistan’s founding father”.

The AJK premier said that the PML-N president Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has been carrying forward the Quaid’s mission and the legacy in letter and spirit to make Pakistan a developed and prosperous country.

Terming Sharif as the real successor of Jinnah he said that Pakistan is the only atomic power in the Muslim world and credit for this goes to him (Nawaz). Notwithstanding the international pressure he said that Sharif made Pakistan atomic power making defense of the country strong and impregnable.
