Muzaffarabad: Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (PM AJK) Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said that special children have right of higher attention rather than considering them as burden.

Prime Minister expressed these views on his visit to special children’s center here on Wednesday. Ministers of the State Mrs. Noreen Arif and Farooq Sikander accompanied the Prime Minister.

Speaking on the occasion, Raja Farooq Haider Khan said that special people are eligible for collective attention of the community and we will make them a viable citizen of the society, “it is the collective responsibility of our society to provide an environment for special persons where they do not feel any inferiority complex of their disability” PM AJK maintained.

Terming the performance of Special Education Center as great till its establishment, Prime Minister stated that this institute has done exemplary performance so far and incumbent government has decided to promote it as Degree College in next fiscal year besides meeting the need of staff and building, furthermore this kind of institutions will be established in the other districts of the State.

About the quality of education, PM AJK lamented that unfortunately our education system is not compatible with modern requirements. “A healthy society can only promote it, we are focused in character and capacity building and endeavoring to establish a curriculum ought to be compatible with modern technology”, Prime Minister reiterated.

The Prime Minister said that special people who promote or train special children are also special people of our society. Prime Minister announced Rs. 5 lacs for sweets and perks only for special children and said that it is only for these children not for the staff.

The special children, on the occasion presented a colorful program that surrounded the environment, live performance of special children astonished the audience while other special children kept making photos with Prime Minister.
