LARKANA : The Thirteenth Annual Sports Week of Larkana Shaheed Ms. Benazir Bhutto Medical University was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Nusrat Shah along with Mayor Larkana Advocate Anwar Ali Lehar and Chairman District Council Ijaz Ahmed Laghari. It was held at the Sports Complex of the Medical College, the ceremony was started with the National Anthem and fireworks were displayed. Addressing the ceremony, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nusrat Shah said that education is necessary for children. Sports is important, sports teaches us to strive for victory and to endure defeat and dedication to win more, I want sports to be a whole year and not a week, he added that our girls are no less than boys. In addition to indoor sports, girls should also participate in outdoor sports and show their strength, Mayor Larkana Advocate Anwar Ali Lehar said in his address that I am very happy to see the enthusiasm among the students, he added. On behalf of the Larkana Municipal Corporation, I announce that the ground of the sports complex in Chandka Medical College will be further improved and Chandka will be included in the Green Larkana campaign, Chairman District Council Ijaz Ahmad Laghari said that the sports activities in the university will be improved. Announced to give two lakh rupees for promotion and said that sports is a healthy activity it strengthens the sportsman spirit, Principal Chandka Medical College Professor Dr. Zameer Ahmed Soomro said on the occasion, when our sports If the fields are inhabited, then our hospitals will be deserted, sports bring discipline in our lives and teach teamwork, Director Sports Dr. Fahad Gibran said that medical education is a very difficult education and sports activities keep children fresh. All the colleges of the university are participating simultaneously in the sports week, eleven student teams and eight female teams are participating in various sports in the sports week. Shields and trophies will be awarded, the opening match was played between Officers XI and PGs XI in which Officers XI scored fifty runs in 6 overs for the loss of four wickets, while PGs XI achieved the said target in four overs for the loss of two wickets. Dean Professor Qar Shah, Dean Professor Yusuf Shah, Principal Dental College Professor Qaimuddin Shaikh, Principal Nursing College Professor Ghulam Abbas Panhoor, Director Physiotherapy Dr. Mukesh Kumar, Mumtaz Barro, Professor Salim Raza were present at the opening ceremony. Professor Shahid Hussain Soomro, Director Ork Dr. Mir Hasan Khoso, Dr. Nadeem Baloch, Dr. Imdad Domki, Sultan Ahmed Bhutto, Dr. Shazia Shakeel along with faculty, officers and students participated in large numbers.
