Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) To enhance the capacity of the investigation officers of AJK police a 15 days long refreshing course was initiated on Monday at State capital with Inspector General of Police (IGP) Muhammad Shoaib Dastagir was the chief guest in the inaugural ceremony.

Briefing on the Course Deputy Inspector General Police Irfan Kashfi said that this course was especially designed for capacity building of the investigative staff so they could act promptly and transparently in their profession.

He said this course would go long way to provide the early justice to the people of AJK.

IGP Shoaib Dastagir said that fair investigation was a key in providing justice to the masses.

“By strengthening the criminal justice system, writ of the law can be established beside the provision of justice to the common man”, he said. “For the provision of justice and development in the state a powerful criminal justice system was a vital”, he said adding that due to poor investigative system criminals could easily escape from the law.

He said, “We are keeping ourselves in the limits of resources, we are introducing reforms in the Police department”. “To maintain the fitness level of our force we would hold weekly prade session in all districts of AJK”, Dasgir said.

DIG Khalid Hussain Chohan , traders, members of civil society and retired police officials were also present on the occasion.
