Islamabad : Former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif convened Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s news Central Executive Committee (CEC)’s meeting on Monday (today).
Let it be known that the first meeting of the PML-N’s new Central Executive Committee which will be held with former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in the chair at 12:30PM at the Punjab House.
In line with media reports, invitations have been sent to all the members of the CEC.
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Hamza Sharif, Azad Kashmir Prime Minister, Balochistan Chief Minister, Gilgit Baltistan Chief Minister, Inteior Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Rana Sanaullah would also be present in the meeting.
While Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Raja Zafar ul Haq, Khawaja Asif, Mushahid ullah Khan, Saad Rafique, Ayaz Sadiq, Ahsan Iqbal, Barjees Tahir, Sardar Mehtab,Amir Muqam, Maryam Orangzaib, Beghum Ishrat Ashraf, Rana Sanaullah and Irfan Siddique will also attended the meeting.
Despite being a member of CEC, Ishaq Dar could not attend the meeting due to ailment.
The CEC will discuss the challenges facing the party, future strategy and prevailing political situation.
It is pertinent to mention here that the PML-N on Saturday announced name of its Central Working Committee (CWC) and Central Executive Committee (CEC) in a notification signed by the party president, Nawaz Sharif. Both Maryam Nawaz and Hamza Shahbaz have been included in the CEC.
The CWC members are: Raja Zafar-ul-Haq (PML-N Chairman), Sardar Yaqub Khan Nasir (Senior Vice President), Nawabzada Changez Marri (Senior Vice President), Saranjam Zamindar (Senior Vice President), Engr Amir Muqam (President Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), Saleem Zia (Vice President), Ahsan Iqbal (Deputy Secretary General Punjab), Zafar Iqbal Jhagra (Secretary General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), Salahuddin Tirmizi (Assistant Secretary General), Abdul Qadir Baloch (Assistant Secretary General).
Pervaiz Rashid (Finance Secretary), Mushahidullah Khan (Information Secretary), Pir Sabir Shah (Senior Vice President), Tariq Fazal Chaudhry (President Islamabad), Raja Farooq Haider (President AJK), Shah Ghulam Qadir (AJK General Secretary), Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rahman (President Gilgit-Baltistan), Begum Nuzhat Aamir (President Women Wing), Capt Safdar (President Youth Wing), Chaudhry Naseer Ahmed Bhutta (President Lawyer Wing), Dr Darshan Laal (President Minority Wing), Kamran Michael (General Secretary Minority Wing), Shah Muhammad Shah (General Secretary Sindh) and Sarfaraz Jatoi (President Sindh).
