Kotli: (Parliament Times) The High Court chief Justice, Justice M Tabassum Alvi has said that a summary regarding converting of Kotli camp office into circuit bench has been send for the formal approval whereas High Court Circuit Benches would also continue to work in Mirpur and Poonch districts.
Justice Alvi said this while addressing a function held under the aegis of Kotli Bar Association here on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion he said appointments of judges as well as staff members would be made purely on the basis merit besides making it sure that there was no regionalism and tribalism involved in the selection. He said that judicial plan 2017 was being implemented in subordinate courts however some judges and Qazis would have to improve their performance.
He made it clear that violation of code of conduct won’t be tolerated at any cast saying that legal action would be taken against the violators. He asked lawyers to work hard and appear before the court with full preparation. Justice Alvi said that judges and lawyers have an important role in timely dispensation of justice.
