Khairpur: At least 20 people were killed while 5 others were injured after a coal laden truck fell on a passenger van in Khairpur.
According to media reports, a passenger van carrying some more than 25 people was on its way from Khairpur to Sukkur when near Hussain Bypass a coal laden truck overturned and fell on the van while trying to overtake it. As a result 20 people died on the spot while 5 others suffered serious injuries that were rushed to nearby civil hospital for first aid.
According to Medical Superintendent (MS) of Civil Hospital Dr Ghulam Jaffar Somroo 4 injured were in a critical condition.
On the other hand, investigation has been started just after the incident.
Officials said that the incident happened due to fog.
