Muzaffarabad: Azad Jammu and Kashmir cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (PM AJK) Raja Farooq Haider Khan here on Wednesday paid rich tributes to Prime Minister Shahid Khaqaan Abbasi for the provision of funds to curb budget deficit and reposed their full confidence in the leadership of PML-N president Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for his endeavors for the sustainability of democracy in Pakistan.

The cabinet meeting was attended by senior Minister Ch. Tariq Farooq, Ministers Raja Nisar Ahmed Khan, Ch. Muhammad Aziz, Dr. Najeeb Naqi, Sardar Mir Akbar, Mrs. Noreen Arif, Mushtaq Minhas, Barrister Iftikhar Gillani, Sardar Farooq Sikander, Syed Shaukat Shah, Ch. Muhammad Saeed, Nasir Dar, Advisor Khan Bahadur Khan, Chief Secretary (CS), Senior Member Board of Revenue including secretaries and heads of different departments.

It was decided in the meeting that with the abolishment of north and south zone of electricity and works department, vacancies in the said departments will be re-designated.
Committee for enhancement of sports activities besides establishment of new sports projects will present their report in next cabinet meeting, Minister for Sports Ch. Saeed, Secretary Law and Secretary Sports are members of this committee.
Another committee formed under the supervision of CS will present the report to PM AJK within 10 days regarding availability of wheat on less rates including charges of subsidy; secretary sports and secretary finance are also members of this committee.

Secretary services also apprised the cabinet about the reports of preceding committees. Moreover, Azad Jammu and Kashmir Press Foundation Act is also sanctioned for amendment to include electronic media underneath Press Foundation; eligibility criteria of a journalist including education will be specified in the Act.

Cabinet also passed resolutions paying tribute to Prime Minister Pakistan Shahid Khaqaan Abbasi for the provision of funds to curb budget deficit and expressed their unflinching support and full confidence on the leadership of President Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for his endeavors for the sustainability of democracy in Pakistan.

Cabinet session condemned Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) demand for early elections in Pakistan and declared it as anti-democratic tact. Session also appealed to all political parties to co-operate for the political stability in Pakistan.

Moreover, Session condemn the atrocities and deteriorating human rights violations in occupied Kashmir and ceasefire violations on Line of Control and demanded United Nations to take notice of the brutalities committed by Indian occupation forces.
