Noseri: (Parliament Times) Chairman Standing Committee of National Assembly for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Malik Abrar Ahmed along with other Members of National Assembly Junaid Akbar, Dr. Shazia, Sobia Aslam, Sham un Nisa and Khalil George visited site area of Neelum Jehlum Hydro Power Project here on Wednesday.
Secretary standing committee Naseem Khalid along with Secretary Information AJK Mansoor Qadir Dar, Secretary Power Development Organization Malik Israr Ahmed accompained the delegation. The delegation inspected the work progress on the Project.
Project Director NJHP Nayyer Ala-ud-din briefed the delegation about ongoing work progress on NJHP.
During the briefing, PD said that first turbine of NJHP will be functional by February 2018 and remaining units will start by April 2018.
He said that work on NJHP is operational 24 hours in 2 shifts to accomplish the project as soon as possible.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Committee Malik Abrar said that this project will definitely help to reduce load shedding and work progress on NJHP to complete it in meantime is appreciable.
